Description
A 1st press of TSMR on the UK Decca label from 1967. Matrix 'T2/2K' x2. Please note the labels are consistent with 1st issue with large Decca lettering and the deep-groove still present. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original lenticular mono cover printed by Robert Stace. Also included is the original psyche red mono inner sleeve. So, 100% genunine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex-) In great condition and has only seen light to moderate use. Under close inspection there are a few marks either side - one or two approaching feelable..none are troublesome or problematic. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback. Intro and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with very good clarity. Interference is minor and reasonably infrequent. Please do expect a bit of static here and there and a few crackles in isolated moments - but certainly nothing i'd describe as invasive. Overall a very very nice little player that will suit someone looking for a very decent rendition, but not a perfect rendition.
Cover (Ex) In great shape and many of these 1st issue lenticular covers are now looking very tired. They're often exhibiting some cracking or blurring of the image or there's heavy wear or ageing. This copy is in surprisingly good form with barely a single issue on the front. A clear image with no nasty glue residue or break, and barely a crease. The rear is in equally fine form with barely crease and colours are still nice and vivid. The interior is immaculate no issues at all. Edge wear is pretty light and the spine is 100% intact. One thing to mention is that there is slight bowing in the front of the cover - which means it is slightly concave. Again, this is not that noticeable but I wanted to give as much detail as possible. It remains an outstandingly well preserved cover.
Inner (Vg-) In ok condition, but there are side splits which have been taped up.
