Description

 Here we have a early rare US 1st pressing of The Rolling Stones - Their Satanic Majesties Request 1967 on the London Records Inc. in superb condition.This has been owned by the same owner since purchasing from new & we are truly honoured to be selling this and other Rolling Stones originals on his behalf.
We have cleaned the record in our amazing ultrasonic Degritter cleaner and the vinyl has come up spotless and black with a deep glossy sheen - see photos. This is a really early 1J/1J matrix number, pressed at Bell Sound, which has been stamped into the deadwax along with M. R. hand etched initials - mastering engineer?
There are a few light scuffs visible but they had no impact on playback whatsoever which is excellent. Big bold wide clean sound, wonderful stereo ( Stereophonic) separation and detail - this was a delight from start to finish - with a low noise floor - astonishing for its age. No scratches, no jumping, sticking or pops - the vinyl behaves beautifully. The labels and spindle holes are clean.
The gatefold sleeve is similarly in super condition - see photos- & retains its vibrant colours and lenticular panel fully intact. There is some wear to edges and corner rubbing as to be expected, but still very robust with no splits, stains or writing.
The matching red marbled inner sleeve is intact, however we have popped the record into a new poly lined anti static sleeve to preserve it after cleaning - you will receive both this & the original.
This is a wonderful copy either for a collector or someone looking to own a top copy to own, play and enjoy.
