Very rare Decca unboxed mono 1st pressing, and very early with 1A 1A matrix endings, and '1' mother stamp and 'K' Buckingham code on side 2. This pressing is quite famous among Stones collectors as its contains a short version of Tell Me.
The version of 'Tell Me' is the shorter version, apparently a demo version that was not meant to be released on the album. This shorter version is commonly referred to as the '2.52 version' as that is the time when it fades out. Later copies have the longer 4 minute+ version.
Visual condition: The record is flat and plays well but has many superficial marks on both sides or varying depths. I grade it Good, both sides have many light marks, scuffs and trail lines. Labels have spindle lines, but no pen, rips or stickers.
Audio condition (listen below): I audio grade it VG, this means the record plays through without skips, jumps or obtrusive noise but there is occasional faint surface noise. I have recorded both sides of this record to further explain the surface condition. These 60's Decca pressings represent some of the best vinyl mastering ever produced anywhere, and despite this copy having marks marks it plays well.
Sleeve: The sleeve is destroyed by water damage. There is no cover for this record included in the sale. This lot is for the vinyl record and mono inner sleeve only. The inner sleeve is the original Decca pink mono polylined inner, it is in VG+ condition, with slight wear but no side rips, or pen etc.
