Description

The Rolling Stones no.2 first press 1965 UK unboxed Decca Mono LP LK.4661 to label, LK4665 to back cover

Extremely rare sleeve with the paste down over the back cover to replace the censored ‘blind man’ text. Lps are advertised as ‘rare’ with the blind man text, but the paste downs are the real rarities. They were produced when Decca realised the blind man joke on the back cover had gone a step too far but they still had spare sleeves left over and didn’t want to waste them. It wasn’t long before the new sleeves were ready and they produced the paste over to use the left-over original sleeves. The original can still just been seen underneath.

Super early 1A-2A matrices to run off grooves. See pictures for full breakdown on text on labels.

Lots of scratches and scuffs to vinyl, but as with most of these 60s records, it sounds much better than it looks with some light crackle but no skips or sticks.

Genuine original UK Mono issue.

Decca inner which has seen better days. Cover has some light wear to laminate and expected browning to back, with wear to corners and edges. Top of sleeve starting to give at opening.

See the photos which form part of the description and give an honest view of the whole.

Lots of great Doors, Led Zep, Pink Floyd first presses plus Dickens first editions and vintage mens Omega watches in my other items. Rolling Stones first press Beggars Banquet, Ya Yas, and zipped Sticky Fingers too.

Good luck!
