Description

"Salah Ragab and the Cairo Jazz Band Presents Egyptian Jazz" on ART YARD ( A.Y.006 ) featuring the "Sun Ra of Egypt", bandleader and pianist Salah Ragab. Indeed, besides being musical and spiritual compatriots, the bands of Sun Ra and Ragab toured together in 1984 to Egypt, Greece, France and Spain.

This recording presents the definitive work of Salah Ragab and the Cairo Jazz Band in an amalgamation consisting of 5 saxophones, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, piano, bass, drums and percussion. Recorded in Heliopolis, Egypt between 1968 & 1973.

This LP is BRAND NEW and UNPLAYED. ( NOTE: Art Yard does NOT shrink-wrap these LPs, i.e., when purchased new the record album is not sealed in cellophane. )  The nice thing about these Art Yard releases is that the band members and / or their estates actually SHARE in the profits ! ( What a concept... )

NOTE: Total shipping rate to USA addresses is $4.50 which includes a sturdy cardboard LP mailer and USPS delivery confirmation.

PLEASE VIEW MY OTHER JAZZ LPs ( ALL used records are play-graded NOT sight-graded )

NOTE: I am willing to coordinate combination shipments - even for auction items that end on different days. Please send e-mail for details regarding a FREE BONUS that is included with the purchase of any three LPs.
