PARLOPHONE RECORDS R 5902 ~ Original 7" from 1969

THE SWEET really could have been a aligned with Led Zeppelin or Uriah Heep musically, if they had not succumbed to the sickly sugary material on RCA looking for 'Glam' hits.
Their 'B' sides prove this out, and goodness knows what Mums though when little Jimmy flipped the records over hoping for another 'COCO' bubblegum pop ditty!
A compilation of the REAL Sweet tracks like these, would be a nice thing I would think - they preceded most 'hair bands' of the US though, with the silver boots and platform boots - even ABBA would be envious! Anyway, first clues of their brilliant prowess is found on their Parlophone singles, and this is the BEST on this 'B' side; 'THE JUICER' crackles with heavyness, the right to bear guitars and drums!
A heavy MONSTER sound, delicious - and a must in a psych collection.
