Description

Seriously rare private press from 1964, this 10-inch 12-track release is incredibly hard to find - and no wonder, with a pressing of just 99 copies by MJB Recording & Transcription Services, a label/studio that recorded and issued a real mix of genres and bands, from folk to jazz, rock and roll to classical.
It's an endearing listen, as the lads go through a mix of Shadows covers and rock and roll favourites.
The flimsy laminated flipback sleeve has survived pretty well, with an 8cm split to the spine, a little creasing and minor corner wear.
The vinyl plays through well with some surface noise at times, and a few tics here and there – but no skips or sticks on my turntable. It's an enjoyable listen and grades somewhere between Good+ and VG+, depending on the track.
The excellent plain white inner sleeve isn't an original, but houses the vinyl safely.
The blue and silver labels are in really excellent condition - barely any wear at all. Comes with the original 'Megoligo Private Record' stamp / sticker.
A highly sought after collectable from the era..
Sensible offers welcome.
