Description

Extremely rare, first flexi release by the eminently influential and possibly most collected of all Sarah Records artists, The Sea Urchins.

‘Cling Film’ is a great track coupled with The Groove Farm’s‘Baby Blue Marine’ and pre-dates their Sha La La flexi ‘Summershine’ and ‘Pristine Christine’ their first vinyl and now legendary release on Sarah Records.

The condition of sleeve and disc is excellent, the sound quality being the same standard common to most flexi discs. Although a 7", the disc plays at 33rpm

The sleeve by Bridget and Robert from the Sea Urchins, is unique (I have seen a couple of others over the years, coloured in differently)… hand splashed with paint, Jackson Pollock style.

A handwritten message (presumably from Bridget or Robert) is on the inside of the sleeve and reads:

‘I splashed this just for you

And so my dear

The least you could do

Is hold it to the window

In the morning sun

+ play its shadow across your face

+ play its noise its sound embrace

+ feel like loving someone

X’

It’s a great memento from the band and of those DIY indie times and would make a great addition to any fan’s collection.

Due to the rarity and potential high value of this item I will only post it Special Delivery.
