Description

This album is the music from the Secret Policeman's Third Ball, a charity event sponsored by Amnesty International. Many great artists appeared at this event, including Kate Bush, Lou Reed, Jackson Browne, Peter Gabriel, Duran Duran, Joan Armatrading, and Mark Knopfler. Many of the artists played on each other's songs, which makes the live recordings even more collectible and interesting.

Kate Bush completest collectors will want this album to complete their collection of Kate Bush songs performed with other people, in this instance, with David Gilmour of Pink Floyd fame, the artist who initially discovered her talents when she was 16 and helped her have some space and time to hone her varied skills, including dancing and mime, before she became an instant overnight phenomenon in 1978. Kate Bush actually gets top billing on this disc, as she was at one of the high points in her long and productive 40 year career, having just released Hounds of Love, perhaps her most critically acclaimed and  famous albums, in September of 1985. "Running Up That Hill" is both a single and and one of her great self-produced videos from that album. This one is a live version, of course.
