Description

Here I have for sale The Seeds debut self titled album released in 1966. This is the stereo version. This version is also a very early 1966 1st pressing, without the black box in the front cover that states their hit single "pushing too hard". Also has the boxed orange label. A rare record to find! Overall i would say the album is in VG condition. Below I will describe the condition of the record in greater detail.


Cover sleeve: condition is good+. There is some light ringwear and light wear on the spine. The biggest reason why I gave it a low grade is because both the top seam and the bottom seam are completely split as seen on the pictures. The spine is still surprisingly together. The other reason is because it has a white spot in the top right corner of the front. Other than that, the sleeve looks great for its age. There is no writing, no stickers, and no tape anywhere. Also as I mentioned, this is a very early 1st pressing, without the black box promoting the single in the front, commonly seen in other copies and reissues.

Record: the condition is a solid VG. Not too far from a VG+. Visually the record has some scratches as would be expected from this album. Some scratches are slightly feelable. As far as the sound goes, I'm not gonna lie it sounds fantastic!! A solid VG+. The sound has a lot of presence. Very clean and clear. There is some very light surface noise and soft crackling, mostly audible between tracks. The scratches do not really affect playback, except for the occasional soft pop. There is a very soft tick somewhere on side 2, that lasts a few seconds. Also I wanna take note of a noticeable pop in the beginning of side 2. It kind of sounds like a very quick short skip, but upon a few listens I can confirm it does not skip and it's just a pop. The labels are clean. I can also confirm there are no skips or loops.

Overall the condition of the album is a solid VG. I Believe whoever wins this will be very pleased.
