The Shaggs Philosophy Of The World LP Red Rooster NM
Record: Near Mint. There is an ultra-light superficial surface mark that does not affect play. Gorgeous luster and shine! The labels are in Near Mint condition.
Cover: Very Good+. There is some heavier discoloration on the back, and moderate ringwear on both sides. There is some light shelfwear to the edges and corners.

The Shaggs Philosophy of the World LP on Red Rooster Records, ROUNDER 3032. An all-girl family band created by father, who was told by a fortune teller in his youth that he would have children that would form a famous pop trio. The girls seemingly no understanding or a complete disregard of any muscial rules such as beat, melody, harmony, or any ability to play: the result is charming. Zappa famously called them "better than the Beatles." They had heavy influence on Kurt Cobain and scores of garage/punk/noise bands since their inception. From a collection of rare punk, wave, no wave, and hardcore records in similar condition.

Items ship within three business days unless otherwise stated. Records are sandwiched between cardboard flats and packed tightly in a firm cardboard record-mailer. 78's are wrapped in bubble-wrap and Styrofoam packing peanuts as well as being sandwiched between cardboard flats in an oversized record-mailer to ensure their safety.
