Description
The Singing Americans were one of Southern Gospel's favorite groups. This album in particular, having such songs as "Home", "I Wouldn't Miss Heaven For The World", and the crowning song of the album, 'I Bowed On My Knees and Cried Holy", showed the versality and range of this group. It was and still is a masterpiece!!
When this album was released in 1984, it was a huge success. The group consisted of Rick Strickland, Tenor, who later sang for several years with the Stamps Quartet; Michael English, Lead, who later sang with the Gaither Vocal Band; Ed Hill, Baritone, who later also sang with the Stamps Quartet; and Dwayne Burke, Bass. A talented group of singers for sure!!
The record is in great condition, plays and sounds are excellent, no skips or scratches; the cover is also in excellent condition, with only normal handling. It has been stored for several years in a climate controlled facility. Remember, this album is now 37 years old!!
If you want to hear Southern Gospel singing at it's finest, then grab this album while you can. You don't see this album available very often. Now is the time!!
