CONDITION
WAX: VG •  clean and shiny but surface marks visible under a bright light.  This record also has visible but not audible groove damage in the beginning of both sides but has been play tested and sounds great start to finish.
LABELS: VG • would jump to EX if there wasn't a slight smudge on both sides.

DETAILS:

 This is a test pressing for the "Temple of Love" 3 song 12". 

Side a) contains an extended mix of one of the band's most highly regarded tracks, "Temple of Love" (7:44).

Side aa) contains the songs "Heartland" (4:48) and a cover of the Rolling Stone's "Gimme Shelter" (5:59).


This record was commercially released in October of 1983. This test pressing was created and stamped "31 Aout 1983" - which translates from French to English as "August 31st, 1983"  - a date that is approximately two months before the single's official commercial release date.

The Matrix on both sides read as follows:

THIS COLLECTION!
I pulled this from a small personal collection of 80's test pressings that I have.  This particular one was found in a NJ record store in the summer of 2003.  it was randomly included in a used copy of The Sisters of Mercy's 1982 12" release of "Alice". I have since stored it properly and treated it as my own.
