Welcome. Up for grabs today is the complete 7in. x 4 "Siamese Singles" by The Smashing Pumpkins on HUT records from 1993-1994. Seldom seen and pressed on colored wax, this is a long out of print, complete with box, Pumpkins treasure. Perhaps the best album they ever did (all due respect to Mellon Collie), these singles contain some of the most lasting and influential rock anthems of the 90's...and they're all in nearly flawless *Near Mint* condition ...a truly stunning example of this set. I'll detail each release seperately...

**TODAY** (B-side Apathy's Last Kiss) **HUT 37**Pressed on translucent RED vinyl and limited to 5000 copies...Beautiful Near Mint copy with just few VERY faint paper scuffs on the egde of Side A (in the dead space) that I hesitate to even mention...they're that insignificant, not even close to scratches, and will not affect play. The labels and center hole are clean and perfect. The sleeve is also solid NM...No splits, no stains, no creases, no ringwear...flat and glossy.

**CHERUB ROCK** (B-side Purr Snickety) **HUT 31** Pressed on CLEAR vinyl and limited to 5000 copies...Beautiful Near Mint copy...clean.clean.clean...The labels and center hole are intact...just the smallest amout of scuffing to the B-side label (it's black and shows everything) but barley noticable. The sleeve is a NM-/EX++ because of few spider-veins on the lower left front cover. Hardly visible, and nothing longer a a few millimeters, I only mention them because on a black cover the do show color break. There are no splits, no stains, no ringwear...flat and glossy. This is Cherub Rock #1425.

**DISARM** (B-side Siamese Dream) **HUT 43**Pressed on PURPLE vinyl and limited to ???? copies (Some say 5000, others 7000)...Beautiful Near Mint copy, almost flawless...a gorgeous copy. Only detail worth mentioning is a small scuff (about 2mm) and a few "dots" on side B...However, don't get scared, they're in the runout groove/dead space (nowhere near the playing surface)...and they might actually come off if the record is cleaned. The labels and center hole are intact and clean. The sleeve (which is the only one in the set that is made of cheap-ass paper) is also NM/NM-...No splits, no stains, sharp corners, no ringwear...flat with vibrant colors...still BRIGHT white. I added the possibly of a NM- because of a slight color break (about 1/4 in) on the top right corner on the back of the sleeve...but for a Disarm cover...this is as good as you're gonna see.

**ROCKET** (B-Side Never Let Me Down) **HUT 48** Pressed on PEACH vinyl and limited to 1500 copies. Hell yeah...the star of the show...ultra-rare wax and worth more than all the others combined. This one is damn near perfect. Glossy, flat, no scratches or scuffs of any kind...looks almost unplayed. Labels and center hole are NM also...just the faintest spindle marks on side A (when held at an angle under BRIGHT light) which is how I know it has been played...just never by me. This Rocket also shows just a tiny bit more marbling in the vinyl than many I've seen. IT IS FLAT OUT GORGEOUS! The sleeve is perfect...really nothing to see but perfection...Razor sharp corners, no splits, no stains, no nothing as far as defects...got the idea?

**THE BOX** Also part of **HUT 48** The box came with the Peach version of "Rocket". The limited edition sticker (explaining you had to collect the other 3 singles individually) and barcode prove the authenticity. As opposed to the all black singles (SPBOX1) that came later, and complete (with all four records), the barcode on this one is #724389272109. In contrast, the barcode on SPBOX1 is #724389272406...and that's how you can tell if you're looking a a "chopped" set...or as in this case...the absolute real f'in deal. The box is in terrific EX+ shape. Solid in structure, clean, and without any dents, dings, or rips...the only things that keep it from solid NM are a few light scuffs/scratches that don't break color on the body of the box, and a few that do break color on the bottom. Of course, they're on the bottom...normal wear from taking it on/off the shelf while being stored upright...but certainly they are there and needed to be mentioned. 

**ADDITIONAL DETAILS**

I'm a huge SP fan from the beginning, and been around LOTS of their vinyl...so before some of you bother me with stupid questions because you're too lazy to read the description...I'll address the inevitable. First, No, the colored singles ARE NOT bootlegs...all four were officially licensed by HUT (a semi-independent division of Virgin until it died in 2004). Are there sellers that have manufactured phony sleeves, or put colored singles in the black singles box? Absolutely...but that doesn't apply here.  Second, Yes, the black singles box is also an official release...with the notable difference being that it came complete with all 4 discs, and was FAR MORE common with 6000 (some say 10,000 copies) produced. Of course, and OBVIOUSLY, that's why the colored releases command so much more $$ and attention...because with only 1500 Peach "Rocket" copies/boxes this collection IS AT LEAST four times more rare mathematically, and even more so in reality...imported, long OOP, had to get all four...and colored wax. Rare and special...period.
