The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

This auction is for an original 1987 German coloured-vinyl pressing of the terrific Smiths single 'Shoplifters Of The World Unite' on beautiful 'marbled' green vinyl. Such 1980s German coloured vinyl pressings have now become highly sought-after amongst collectors owing to their increasing scarcity and the impressive nature of the vinyl itself. This is not a recent bootleg pressing, which are sometimes also pressed on brightly-coloured vinyl. This copy is a rarity in that it has been stored in remarkable unplayed near mint condition (see below), and even has its original shrink-wrap still on the outer sleeve which has been neatly opened with a sharp blade to access the record inside. This is clearly a beautiful record and highly desirable amongst Smiths collectors; this copy is a truly exceptional example in what is effectively its 'brand new' state.The vinyl and labels are in outstanding near mint condition, being unplayed and having no visible surface marks on the superb marbled-green vinyl. The outer sleeve is also in near mint condition, having been protected by the original shrink-wrap which has been opened but is still in place. There is no corner or edge wear, and there are no creases, bends or seam-splits in the outer sleeve; all corners and edges remaining remarkably sharp after nearly 30 years of being stored carefully. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the Ebay ID lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.

Postage and Packing is 3.90 in the UK for untracked and uninsured standard postage, this is generally subsidised by myself and the actual costs to me will usually be higher. Please do consider paying the extra 90p for tracked postage since there is nothing that can be done to find out what happened if the parcel is lost when standard postage is chosen. Shipping costs are greater for overseas buyers, but still subsidised and very good value; please check prices by using the options above or feel free to ask. Extra items are sent at no extra postage charge to the buyer (see below).
