Here is a 1987 Australian release of ‘Ask/Cemetry Gates’.
THE SMITHS Ask
Superb and extremely rare 1987 Australian 7" vinyl single, with unique green tinted 'Morrissey' picture sleeve with red lettered titles and green labels.
The 'Morrissey' sleeve image was photographed by Pat Bellis [One of the very few times he allowed his image to be used] with custom catalogue number RTANZ12019.
The original single was released in a plain company sleeve in November 1986, and the picture sleeve (Slim Smith design) was only added once it charted, in 1987.
The heyday of Stephen Street and John Porter.
Short-term guitarist Craig Gannon also plays on this release.
