Description
The Smiths, Barbarism, UK 12" DJ ONLY, PIC SLEEVE
UK DJ only 12" in picture sleeve, Rough Trade RTT 171.
Barbarism Begins At Home (7.00) b/w Barbarism Begins At Home (3.48).
Vinyl labels clearly state "DJ Copy, Not For Sale" on both sides.
Run Offs/Dead Wax, Side 1, RTT 171-A, LYN 15482-1C-Z, "THESE ARE THE GOOD TIMES", Side 2, RTT 171-B, LYN 154831C13S Z.
The Meat Is Murder album was promoted in the UK by this DJ only 12" of "Barbarism Begins At Home". Two versions were produced (both RTT 171), one with the album version only and the other with both the album version and the 3:48 edit.
Vinyl in super condition, hardly played, and with no scratches or damage of any kind. There are slight imperfections on the actual record labels, as can be seen in the pictures. These appear as small tears, but are from manufacture, and not damage of any kind. There is no lifting of the labels at all, and they sit flush against the vinyl.
Picture sleeve also in excellent condition. Some extremely light and minor signs of storage/handling wear becoming apparant at extremeties, but minimal and negligible.
A really nice early Smiths item, with a great sleeve.
Minimum bid realistic, I paid a lot more for this item, and won't let it go for silly money. The Smiths are an important band, and this is a reluctant sale for financial reasons.
To go to a good and appreciative home please!
