Description
Here we have a unique and original example of indie pop history from 1986.
The poster is an original 1986 promotional display poster designed just for display inside record shops and so was limited in number when produced, often thrown away after a couple of weeks and so very few genuine originals survived. This one I begged from a small record shop in Sheffield in 1986 and I have owned it since then in safe storage.
Now 31 years old, the poster is still in good used condition. It has a small tear at it's top and has been stored rolled up so has some lines of faint creasing going across it. It also has the main fold across the middle that all these posters had due to the way Rough Trade sent them out with the records (It's one way you know it's genuine). Please use the zoom function to examine the poster.
The poster is 28 cm X 58 cm
I have priced the poster based on extreme rarity and the general good condition the poster has survived in. In excellent condition the poster will sell in excess of £250.
It deserves to be properly framed and hung so more people can see what this historic poster actually looked like 'in the flesh'. I currently do not have the space to do this but I am hoping someone out there is able to properly host this unique item.
The poster will be posted in a hard tube.
Many thanks for looking
