Description

This is an extremely rare original 12” printer’s proof for The Smiths U.K. Rough Trade RTT 192 release of ‘Bigmouth Strikes Again’. The proof is printed on card stock to replicate the published picture sleeve. This is a chance to own a rare piece that seldom comes to market - only a small handful were produced.

This is a rejected version for RTT 192. The Proof credits include ‘Produced By The Smiths’ and ‘Cover Photograph of James Dean’. These were changed to ‘Produced by Morrissey & Marr’ and ‘Cover Photograph of James’ for the finally approved, official 1986 release.

It has also been signed by the band’s drummer Mike Joyce and is in great condition (see photo). It would look good framed - I used to have it framed, but don’t have the room to display now.

Any queries, please contact me.

It will be securely packaged and posted special delivery.
