Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

This auction is for a rarely-seen 12" pressing of the Smiths single 'The Boy With The Thorn In His Side' from 1985. It is the Brazil pressing which has several differences to the most common UK version: the sleeve has an additional bright orange "MINI LP" band in the top left corner as well as the "45 RPM" lettering underneath the band name; the catalogue number is also printed in small black text in the top right hand corner. On the reverse of the sleeve this Brazilian version also has different credits in black text at the bottom and in the top right. In addition, the record itself has very nice unique red labels (see photo). This is a rare opportunity to obtain one of these uncommon pressings in collectable condition (see below).The vinyl and labels are in strong excellent condition, with just some very light surface marks on the highly-glossy vinyl in a few places; the record appears unplayed. The black die-cut inner sleeve is intact and the unique outer sleeve is also in strong excellent condition, with just some mild corner wear in places and the beginning of a seam-split in the middle of the left edge of the sleeve when viewed from the front. There is no writing on, and no visible creases in, the sleeve. Towards the top of the front and reverse of the sleeve there is some very mild 'ringwear' visible which is not highly-pronounced. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.
