This track was recorded at the Wool Hall in Bath, Spring 1987. Production credited to Grant Showbiz. Cover star is Shelagh Delaney, an English dramatist and screenwriter, best known for her debut work, A Taste of Honey, and of course as being very inspirational to Morrissey's songwriting. While the sleeve, in 12" format, was originally intended to be printed with a green background, a small amount of sleeves left the factory mispressed with a grey background that Shelagh's face was imposed against. About a year ago you'd see these come up for auction every few months, but now it seems like they've all gone missing. Very excited to be able to offer this item to a lucky bidder.
This item has the very minor corner wear/rubbing that any sleeve of this age contains. The spine, though, is still stiff, boxy, and glossy along the vast majority of its surface. The item looks great. There is a hint of ringwear that is visible on the back of the sleeve, but mostly via small tiny white specks against the sleeve's surface instead of the heavy contact imprint common to many incidents of ringwear caused by heavy stacking pressure. I can't feel an impression on this one when running my hand over it. There is a tiny spot of stickiness/residue on the upper right hand corner of the front of the sleeve, though this could be removed without hurting the material I am trying to be as critical as possible in describing any flaw so there are no surprises for anyone down the road.
As a very picky collector, I understand the priority of feeling reassured with a purchase. If you have any questions whatsoever about this item, don't hesitate to ask and I will promptly respond. If you want specific photos of something, I will accommodate anything you'd like taken. I will also honor a 14-day return policy, granted the item arrives back in the (photo documented) condition it was shipped out in.  Also, while I will be including the record with this auction, I realize the important piece is the sleeve itself. If you'd like to save a little on shipping and don't wish to receive the record, I will arrange this as well and refund you the difference after posting.
