Description
The Smiths Meat is Murder 1985 Vinyl LP Sire 9 25269-1 SRC First Pressing
This is a first US pressing of The Smiths - Meat Is Murder on Sire Records from 1985. Vinyl itself is in excellent condition. Only a couple hairline scratches as highlighted in my photos. Plays great. No skips, hangs, warps, or repeats.
Record comes with original double sided paper lyric sleeve. The bottom and one side of paper where album touches has about a 1 inch split on seam of paper, along with a few discoloration spots. Outer jacket has the original clear plastic shrink wrap. Some corner and jacket opening bump wear as shown in photos. This record has been stored in a record crate since the late 1980’s.
** Collectors Notes: Track B1 is not listed on back of jacket or lyric sleeve. SIRE ™ is on the bottom of logo on both sides, and does not have label rim text. **

I use a ring light to highlight any noticeable scuffs or scratches in my vinyl auctions. Also helps to better highlight the runout etchings, which will indicate the exact version of the release.
I listen to all the albums prior to auction and will reference any jumps, skips, warps, repeats, etc. Or anything that will effect play in my listing. Will also always indicate any scratches that are deep enough to cause a noticeable click or pop sound.
I also don’t use any disc cleaning or disc washing system. So any residual dust or smudges have not been removed.
With that being said, I want to be as clear and honest to the exact condition of each listing, and depict any imperfections as well as I can with the ring light.
Feel free to contact me with questions, or any additional photos.
I ship free USPS Priority Mail for US bidders!
Albums are packaged very well using a record box mailer, cardboard inserts, corner and edge protection, bubble wrap, etc.
Stay tuned to my auctions for more rare gems in the coming weeks. Thanks for bidding!
