THE SMITHS Strangeways, Here We Come (CDN) Sire 92 56491
This is an original 1987 Canadian pressing of The Smiths' 4th (and final) full length studio release, "Strangeways, Here We Come". More great pining and whining from Morrissey and company. Includes the fantastic tracks, "Unhappy Birthday" and "Stop Me..."
Dead Wax Info: Side 1 has 92-56491-1 and 1A2HZ: all etched into the dead wax. Side 2 has 92-56491-2 and 1A2HZ: all etched into the dead wax. Original 1987 Canadian Sire Records press.
Vinyl Visual Grade: NM with full gloss and no marks worth mention. Could use a cleaning (for the first time in 28 years) as there is a wee bit of dust here and there. Labels are pristine.
Vinyl Play Grade: NM with AS NEW fidelity and very little noise. As good as you will find for this pressing. This was bought new by me and played maybe once or twice.
Cover Visual Grade: VG+ with very minor wear only. Looks pretty much new (but I will play it safe)
Comes with original matte photo/printed lyric inner (NM shape with NO ISSUES. LP will be held in Audiophile rice-plastic lined die-cut paper inner.
Hello all. My name is Jamie and I have been collecting records for 40+ years. It is time to trim down my unmanageable inventory. My tastes run all over the sonic map, so there should be something for almost everyone.
ALL records will have been visually inspected under BRIGHT incandescent light with extreme scrutiny.
ALL open records will have been play graded using a Thorens TD 165 turntable and Yamaha amplifier (JBL reference headphones). Treble set high so nothing will be hidden in my grades. My grading is as follows:
M or Mint - NOT USED as there is no such thing as perfection.
NM or Near Mint - No significant markings - sealed or RARELY played.
VG+ - Minimal marking - none of which significantly affects fidelity of lp.
VG - Minimal to modest marking which affects lp but not to the point of distraction.
G - Modest marking but still VERY listenable, depending on your ears.
I WILL NOT SELL ANY LP AT LESS THAN G UNLESS THERE IS SIGNIFICANT HISTORICAL VALUE ATTACHED TO THE LP.
ALL COVERS WILL HAVE DETAILED DESCRIPTIONS OF ALL FLAWS.
I USE PROPER RECORD MAILERS WITH STIFFENERS AND PADDED CORNERS. I HAVE BOUGHT TOO MANY RECORDS ON EBAY WITH DINGED CORNERS FROM INSUFFICIENT PACKAGING. BY PADDING THE CORNERS WITH FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP (WHICH I DO) , YOU CAN BE SURE OF RECEIVING AN LP WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE CORNERS.
SHIPPING FEES:
Shipping will be $10 U.S. for anywhere in the U.S. as long as the weight is under 500 grams after packaging.
ON PACKAGES OVER 500g, PLEASE WAIT FOR PROPER INVOICE. MOST LPS CAN BE SHIPPED AS UNDER 500 GRAMS.
Other countries (including Canada), please refer to the Canada Post rates which should be available on the ebay shipping details within the listing.
Returns accepted within 14 days (and with good reason).
I AM A REASONABLE PERSON. I WILL ONLY CHARGE FOR ACTUAL SHIPPING, AND NONE OF THE PACKAGING COSTS. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE BOUGHT ITEM, PLEASE WORK WITH ME TO FIND A SOLUTION THAT WILL BE TO YOUR LIKING. thanks for this
