When WEA re-released classic Smiths 7" singles from their newly-acquired back catalogue in 1992, this was the most anticipated of the four which were eventually put out. Since 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out' was never released by Rough Trade as a single in the UK, this is not strictly a re-issue but rather the first release of the track on UK 7" vinyl. Owing, possibly, to the unique Sandie Shaw light blue artwork and the undying popularity of the track, this record has become increasingly sought-after in recent years. This is a very nice addition to a Smiths collection, and this particular example is in superb condition (see below).The vinyl and labels are in strong excellent condition, having been played just a few times and having one or two of the lightest 'hairline' surface marks on the glossy vinyl. The sleeve is also in strong excellent condition, with just the mildest beginnings of very light creases towards two of the corners, and no writing, splits, sticker marks or damage anywhere. Please see the accompanying photos; note that the Ebay ID lettering is just on the pictures and not the item itself.
