Description
The experience of buying records on Ebay is ruined if, when they arrive, you discover that they are either not in the condition stated or have been damaged in the post! For this reason I describe all my items in detail, and only post using strong sturdy packaging in a 'box' mailer with the record outside the sleeve to avoid seam-splitting. They are also from a non-smoking and pet-free home.

This 7" Smiths single is almost certainly the most desirable of the WEA re-issue singles which were released into the market in the early 1990s. Highly-anticipated at the time, owing to the fact that 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out' had never been released as a single in the UK under Rough Trade, the popularity of the title track and the terrific unique light blue Sandie Shaw sleeve artwork combine to produce a very nice collectable item. In addition, this particular copy has the original first-pressing labels rather than the silver injection-moulded type which are alternatively often seen in later examples of this release. A superb curiosity in The Smiths' singles back catalogue which is becoming increasing hard to get hold of in collectable condition.The vinyl and labels are in strong excellent condition, having seen very little play and being very well looked-after; the vinyl is glossy with only the lightest of superficial 'hairline' surface marks in a few places, which can only be seen if held to the light. The outer sleeve is also in strong excellent condition, having only light 'rubbing' to the corners and edges in a few places but no other significant signs of wear. There is no seam-splitting and no writing or damage anywhere. Please see the accompanying photos for more detail; note that the 'Ebay ID' lettering is just on the pictures and not on the item itself.
