Description
Here we have an original copy of the final LP from the prolific Colombian group The Speakers on the Bambuco label from 1967. It’s featured in Hans Pokora’s 1001 Record Collector Dreams (where it gets 3 out of 6 discs for rarity). These guys were one of the wildest psych groups from South America, and on this album, they go out with a bang, mixing memorable melodies (all sung in Spanish) with trippy effects.
Bad news: the gatefold cover has clear tape around all edges, and about an inch torn off from the bottom all the way around – though the central images look pretty decent, I’d have to put this in F to G territory. Good news: the disc looks a nice VG+(+) with just a few small scratches/scuffs, and plays almost as well as it looks (these weren’t the world’s greatest pressings, after all). Try finding one cleaner!
