Item Description
A rare opportunity to own a genuine 1989 UK First Pressing of the Stone Roses' legendary debut album. This copy features the highly sought-after "scribbled" matrix markings in the dead wax, indicating it was pressed from the very first set of metal masters.
Matrix / Runout Details:
Side A: ORE LP 502 A2 (Hand-etched with scribbled out triangle and circle symbols and "88.8" date).
Side B: ORE LP 502 B2 (Hand-etched).
Key Features of this Copy:
Original Labels: White labels with red/black text and Silvertone logo.
Sleeve: Original UK sleeve with the barcode located in the bottom-right corner.
Inner Sleeve: Includes the original printed "Waterfall" inner sleeve with correct sharp/square corners.
Manufacturing: "Manufactured in the EEC" text on the labels.
Vinyl: Has quite a few scratches but all seem surface one and none deep.
Played on my little modern player it played fine with no skips or jumps
The sound was bog standard because my player is very naff! I can imagine it sounds immensely different on a proper bit of kit.
Sleeve: inner sleeve is immaculate!
Outer sleeve: very good on front
Back of it is again very good but a small piece on corner edge has lifted and removed a top layer of print.
Take a look at the photos because they form part of the overall condition.
Im not a dealer or collector so my knowledge is limited.
I don’t offer refunds on records due to the increase of people swapping out items and returning me their crappy scratched ones.
Don’t take it personally.. 😎
