The Stooges - Fun House, Rhino US 2010 Reissue


From my own collection, i bought this brand new about 4 yrs ago and simply archived it.  Upon reading it was a Rainbo records pressing not long ago i panicked and bought two other examples from expecting this to be a warped, non filled bin job like most of Rainbo's pressings.  I then opened this fearing the worst....


Vinyl - much to my surprise free of visible non fill, totally flat and apart from some insignicant light marking.... can it really be from Rainbo?  Still hesitant i triple washed it in the Degritter and.... OK.... this actually sounds really good!  The mastering is excellent, there is still a little light surface noise but not intrusively so.  If i hadnt bouggt two other issues id have simply kept this one.


Jacket - like the LP is basically as new, undamaged etc just opened the shrink to check the LP.  Inner sleeve not very Rainbo.... ie its poly lined!!  They are usually the crappest round cornered paper only jobs.


The runouts say Rainbo.... the sound and pressing betray it but there you go at least it doesnt have to be binned!  Can you find a better one than this triple washed one though 🤔
