Description
Super scarce 1969 first press "BIG E" Elektra pressing. This label was only available in 1969 and the matrices match up with the absolute first pressing of this classic debut! Some folks say the first pressing had the misprinted label, and this is correct, BUT like any and every misprint, it was corrected at the time and only a few of these were made, but only at one plant. This is ALSO a first pressing, but not with the misprint and confusion on the track listing. Elektra was a rather home-spun operation at this point and if you are aware of the all the variations of the Doors: Soft Parade, you will be aware that they did things a little differently at that label. This copy is in VG/+ with some ring wear and spine/seam wear. Also the disc has some scuffs and a very few heavier ones. Also an initial on the label. Comes with gold Elektra inner. Super rare debut, and ultra scarce in this actual first pressing form!
