This release suffered some complications at Vinyl Me, Please . . . . so please bear with me & read this entire description before purchasing. Because I am describing everything in great detail and because everything in this box set is still sealed, I will not accept returns on this item unless every piece is returned to me in the exact same sealed condition. Thank you in advance for your understanding & cooperation.
This box set features & includes:
* Hand-numbered #997/1000 on the reverse of the case. Individual albums are not numbered. * The original box set case, matte black with shimmering Blue Note logo & font, SEALED * Horace Silver - Horace Silver Trio, LP, 180g, SEALED (inside of case) * Dexter Gordon - Dexter Calling, LP, 180g, SEALED (inside of case) * Lou Donaldson - The Natural Soul, LP, 180g, SEALED (in shrink) * Wayne Shorter - Schizophrenia, LP, 180g, SEALED (in shrink) * Bobby Hutcherson - Montara, LP, 180g, SEALED (in shrink) * Ambrose Akinmusire - When the Heart Emerges Glistening, 2 LPs, 180g, SEALED (in shrink) * The Story of Blue Note booklet with illustrated essays on each album, SEALED (inside of case) * 5"x7" card #1: Introduction to VMP Anthology Series * 5"x7" card #2: Introduction to first set of two albums - Horace Silver & Dexter Gordon * 5"x7" card #3: Introduction to second set of two albums * 5"x7" card #2: Introduction to first set of two albums - Horace Silver & Dexter Gordon (this is not a typo. I received a duplicate of card #2 in lieu of card #4, which is an introduction to albums #5 & #6. Therefore, card #4 is missing & not included) * Vinyl Me, Please. Anthology sticker. (The sticker is scratched in the upper right corner)
Please Note:
* Please refer to the second to last photo above to read more detailed information about the box set and each individual album * Please pay particular attention to the entries for the Dexter Gordon & Wayne Shorter albums as there are variations you should know about * Please know that for this particular box set that I am selling, it includes the original misprinted album cover for the Dexter Gordon release ONLY, and the replacement (corrected) jacket is NOT included * Please know that it is impossible for me to know which label variation for the Wayne Shorter album is included in this boxset as the album is sealed inside the case. As such, the labels for this album may or may not be on the correct sides.
In review, there are three idiosyncrasies with this box set that you should know about before purchasing: 1. There are (2) Intro Cards #2. Intro card #4 is missing and not included. 2. The original misprinted Dexter Gordon album cover is included and the replacement or corrected version is not included. 3. Because the record is sealed inside the box set case, it is impossible for me to know which label variation of the Wayne Shorter album is included. The labels for this particular album may or may not be on the correct sides of the vinyl.
