Description
The Story of Simon Simopath is the first album by 1960s group, Nirvana, released in 1967 on Island (pink label) ILPS 9059. This is an original UK pressing from 1967 and is the original gatefold design, showcasing the story line in the fold out sleeve and highlighting each song title in a rather cool way (for it's time).
The cover looks excellent for it's age; there are a couple of light crease marks on the back and some very slight lamination bubbling. The lamination is still shiny.
There is some surface noise apparent - especially on the quieter tracks (such as Tiny Goddess) and both initial lead-in grooves however this is understandable due to age. There are no skips or jump and the slight mark shown in photograph 8 at the end of side two (during 1999) does not seem to be audible.
I have owned this LP from new and as can be seen, at some point early on in my record collecting career I unfortunately wrote my last name on the label of side one.
I also wrote the title and artist on the blank paper inner sleeve - this of course can be replaced but is included for authenticity.
The record will be sent in a sturdy bespoke LP mailer, the vinyl will be inside the inner sleeve but separate to the outer sleeve to avoid damage from movement and there will be appropriate postal insurance cover.
