Description
The Stranglers 7" record 'Peaches' radio play version was given to DJ's, only 100 promotional copies were given away. This was a big hit for the band in 1977 a double A side with Go Buddy Go.Getting your song played on the radio meant chart success and appearing on TOTP meant even more. Because there were some inappropiate words in the song the record could not be played on radio/tv. So the band re-recorded the song replaced the offensive words so the band and song could reach their full potential. They never played the cleaned up version on TOTP it was a compromise to far. The record is in mint condition and there were no sleeves accompanying the record. I would take a guess that over time there are now less than 100 copies in existence. It is a very rare single that you do not see on the open market.
