The Stranglers Grip ’89 Rock Over London USA Double Radio LP 1/29/89 Rare
This Double USA Radio LP contains tracks from The Stranglers, Jack Bruce & Eric Clapton, Then Jericho, Simply Red, Tanita Tikarum, Love & Money, The Pretenders, Roachford, Erasure, Duran Duran, Mike & The Mechanics and Fine Young Cannibals.
In addition to their USA origin, fans of all the featured artists will ensure these “Rock Over London” Radio Show LP’s remain highly collectible.
I originally collected this because of the Stranglers connection, so they are the only band named in the item description.
As with the BBC Transcription Discs, these Rock Over London Double Radio LP’s had numerous different shows and are becoming increasingly difficult to track down. Just four appear under the “Radio Shows” section of the Stranglers’ Discography website (dated 1985, 1986 and two from 1992): http://www.stranglers.org.uk/test_pressings/radio_shows.htm
This particular LP is not listed there, being dated (in American) 1/29/89.
The outer sleeve is in its original cellophane, in near immaculate condition. The reverse of the outer sleeve being plain white. The cellophane has been split to allow for removal of the contents.
The two discs have the “Rock Over London” labels on both sides (all labels are in mint condition) and are in their original plastic inner-sleeves. The condition suggests that the records have never been played, and quite possibly have never previously been fully removed from their inner sleeves.
The package comes complete with the inner sheet, showing the program & track listing on one side. The Stranglers Grip ’89 concludes side 1’s acts, and the band are given a few words on the program sheet reverse too.

My Stranglers records are all stored in polythene sleeves within proper record storage boxes. All items are in excellent condition for their age, but any with flaws have been honestly reported.
POSTAGE: Charges are £2.08 for singles & cassettes, £3.82 for LP’s & 12” records. The actual postage / courier method used will vary between 2nd class, 1st class, signed for or fully tracked; depending solely on eventual sale value of each item. For example, I won’t be spending £10+ on fully tracked postage for a £2 item. There is no “combined postage discount” on these sales, but please trust that I will FULLY REIMBURSE any excess postage for multiple purchases, the same day that the item is posted. (refund of “whole pounds” only – I keep the pennies for the packaging).
NB: Non-UK buyers will have to pay the going rate (surcharge) for Ebay’s “Global Shipping Program” - I have no control over this.
