Description
An acetate of this album has never come up for sale.
A&M Records USA studio acetate of the 1972 album “Grave New World”. VG+ condition with light marks on the edges from the sleeve and storage for decades. There are a few very faint sleeve scuffs but no real scratches. No degradation, cracking or flaking of acetate off the metal disc. I VPI cleaned this properly with only distilled water. I play tested this both sides. The fidelity is great, nice and clean, clear and free of noise once the music starts. Like most acetates the lead in groove is noisy until the music starts, after that crystal clear.
This is a lathe cut mastering studio acetate for reference. They would have probably only cut about 12 of them at most for certain people to hear before the album went into production.
There’s a signature from an unknown person signing off on the inner sleeve and some notes. It doesn’t jump or skip why that part is crossed out.
Ships well packed, ploy bagged with extra cardboard flats for protection.
SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS FOR OTHER SEALED RECORDS AND A COUPLE MORE ACETATES.
I can only combine ship on USA orders.
