On offer here is the SUPER RARE 'THE SUN ALSO RISES' S/T ORIGINAL UK VILLAGE THING LP FROM 1970.This duo from Cardiff released this magical and mystical LP on the highly collectable Village Thing label in 1970 and it comes strongly recommended.The second release on Village Thing after The Pigsty Hill Light Orchestra(VTS 2),the music will appeal to anyone who embraced the folk-rock scene of the late 1960s and early 1970s.Fans of The Incredible String Band will find similarities,in addition to fans of many folk-rock duos and bands of the time.In current times,I found some tracks reminded me of the excellent Jonny Kearney and Lucy Farrell.Now referred to as acid folk,The Sun Also Rises also includes much unusual instrumentation,which adds to the mystical feel.The album comes in an overall near excellent condition,but I will break things down as follows.The sleeve has a little evidence of ringwear on the front cover and very minimal wear,but otherwise is still strong and sturdy and I will grade as VERY GOOD+.The Village Thing design labels are superb and I will grade as EXCELLENT+.The inner lyric sheet is also in EXCELLENT condition.This brings me to the vinyl,and as I realise this album commands decent prices,I will be as accurate and honest as possible.The vinyl still looks stunning and,on playing,there is nothing more than an odd pop or very light crackle here and there,but this was as a result of a very light dust on the record,which can easily be rectified.It's,undoubtedly,excellent but ,as I don't want to disappoint anyone,I will grade the vinyl as EXCELLENT-.In summary:
