Description

Very rare true first pressing of the Troggs' Wild Thing album, the only pressing with the true mono mix. All the other mono pressings are re-channeled from the stereo mix. This copy also has a slightly different cover from the later pressings, with only one photo on the back and blue lettering on the front. Matrix numbers in the runout are MG 27556A F1 and MG 27556B F1.


One of the greatest garage/punk albums of the 60s, this copy sounds a thousand times better than the other pressings, and a million times better than any reissues or awful CDs. Really this original mono pressing has to be heard to be believed. Great... and this copy is in lovely condition. Side one is basically NM with only the lightest surface scuffs that make no sound, and side two has a bit more scuffing, with a very light crackle between songs. I would call it E-. But really the sound is incredible and it plays fantastically. Turn it up loud! A wonderful experience. The cover is a beautiful E++, with no ringwear and only the slightest touch of corner wear. Maybe the best overall copy I have ever seen.
