Description

The Teddy Bears "The Teddy Bears Sing"

This is an original US vinyl pressing on Imperial LP 12010  from 1959.    This was their only album.    This is the super rare Stereo pressing.   Probably less than 500 were pressed.   This is the only one I have ever seen !   This record is so rare, that it's worth something even in this condition.

The group includes Phil Spector, Annette Bard, and Marshall Leib.    Phil Spector went on to create the 'Wall Of Sound'.    He was one of the most important producers in the Rock N Roll era.   He produced hits by The Crystals, Darlene Love, The Ronettes, and Bob B Soxx & The Blue Jeans.    He started Philles Records.    Later in the 70's he co-produced records for The Beatles (Let It Be) , John Lennon ( Plastic Ono Band, Imagine, Sometime In New Yok City),  George Harrison (All Things Must Pass) , Dion (Born To Be With You) , Leanard Cohen (Death Of A Ladies Man) , and The Ramones (End Of The Century).

Overall Condition is : Cover is G+ /  Record is G+

The cover is G+.    There is no writing.   There is no ring wear, just a hint of wear at top center and bottom center.    There are seam splits : 3 inches at bottom center, 2 inches at bottom right, and 2 inches at top right.    The bottom left corner is bent.     There is a minor crease along the mouth.      At bottom center there is a 1/8 inch piece of the spine missing.   On the back cover at bottom center there is 1 X 1/2 inch of cover tear.    The vinyl looks G+ and it plays G+.    So, there are lots of scuffs and tiny scratches everywhere.      It plays through with static and some pops, but no skips.    The labels are clean with lots spindle marks.  The record comes in a plain white inner sleeve.

The songs are : Oh Why, Unchained Melody, My Foolish Heart, You Said Goodbye, True Love, Little Things Mean A Lot, I Don't Need You Anymore, Tammy, Long Ago And Far Away, Don't Go Away, If I Give My heart To You, and Seven Lonely Days.

About Me :

I started collecting records in 1966.     I started selling in Goldmine in 1985.      I now sell records at all Northwest record conventions : Portland, Seattle, Tacoma, Eugene, Grants Pass, and Canby.       And at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.     My records are from a no smoking and no pets home.

Packaging :

I take great care on every package and I do each one personally.     I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.     Each piece is 1/2 inch thick, triple strength industrial cardboard.       Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )       I always remove the record from the cover and seal them in a clear plastic sleeve.     The package will be marked in red : "Fragile Record" on both sides.

Postage :  Weight : 1 pound 5 ounces

You have to pay for the postage.     I pre-weigh every record, so that you pay the exact amount the post office charges.   There are no handling charges.     This record will weigh 21 ounces ( 1 pound, 5 ounces ) when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US Priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal and an automatic email with the tracking number.      Overseas bidders must use First Class Mail International.    You will get an automatic email with the customs/tracking number.      ( Buyers from Italy must assume all risks for shipping to their country. )      I will send your record as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM : Monday thru Saturday)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.      Please wait for me to send you an invoice for all of your records in one package.

Serious Bidders Only :

Serious bidders only.    If you bid you must be prepared to honor your bid.     I expect payment within three days, but will wait up to seven days, if you contact me.      I no longer accept bids from buyers with more than two strikes against them.
