Description

Genuine original 1964 UK Stateside pressing of The Temptations –  Why You Wanna Make Me Blue / Baby, Baby i need you, catalogue number SS 348.

This is the original UK release, not a later reissue. It has the original Stateside black label and the correct 45 KR 4394-1N matrix visible in the runout.

The record comes with the original period Stateside company sleeve, which is getting increasingly difficult to find with these early Stateside singles.

Record condition

The vinyl is in very good condition for a record from 1964. It still has a good shine and looks better than many examples I've come across.

Side A: Plays extremely well and is almost completely free from crackle, just a brief crackle at the beginning
Side B: Plays well, with a little crackle audible at the beginning. This settles down and does not detract from the overall listening experience.

There are some light surface marks/hairlines from normal use, but no nasty deep scratches or anything that affects playback.

Sleeve

Original Stateside company sleeve, not a modern replacement.

The sleeve has age-related wear, creasing and some corner/edge wear,
as shown in the photographs. Considering it is approaching 65 years old, it has survived remarkably well and is a genuine period sleeve for the record.

I've photographed the actual record and sleeve so you can judge the condition for yourself.

A great copy for a Northern Soul, Motown or early Stateside collector, particularly for someone looking for an original UK copy rather than one of the later reissues.
