Description
Unique and cool promo 45 record by the surf/car group the Tigers, with involvement from Bruce Johnston of the Beach Boys. This white label promo was released to promote the new 1965 GTO TIger, and was only available at Pontiac car showrooms, and not released in stores. The record was released by Colpix Records, and comes with a gatefold picture sleeve with a picture of the new car on the front, and photos inside. The back of the sleeve pictures the group, the Tigers, with a bio on them, and lyrics to the song. Interestingly, the back side of the 45 plays the sound of the GTO car on a test drive. The 'A' side is a song that would fit comfortably on any early Beach Boys LP, with great harmonies. There are six photos to view. Using a 100 watt bulb to grade by, the vinyl is in beautiful condition and is graded at near mint8/9, full luster. Both labels are near mint 9 or better. The picture sleeve is in wonderful condition with no seam splits, a clean, bright white back, and a deep, glossy front cover with dark, rich colors, and just a hint of scuffing begining. Graded at least near mint8. Questions?? Please email me.
