Description
The Tommy Flanagan Trio S/T 1964 Prestige/Moodsville MVLP Vol. 9 Mono Blue Label Reissue. Plays VG+. Hand cleaned, play tested = VG+ or better. Minimal surface noise under the music and minimal ticks in spots. It's a great sounding pressing. Album jacket is VG+ with normal age wear, corner scuffs. The top seam of the album jacket was fixed and seems to be holding steady. The band, Tommy Flangan - Piano, Tommy Potter - Bass & Roy Haynes - Drums play incredible together. Tommy's style is elegant and laid back. His piano playing is so effortless that you almost forget how great he is by making it sound so easy. I described it as "Beautiful, mellow jazz piano trio that sounds like autumn. Imagine a bistro you might happen into near Central Park and this band is playing". This is a 1964 reissue of an 1961 release. Inside the album jacket was an article about the passing of Mr. Flanagan. Comes with new. poly lined inner and new, plastic outer sleeve.
Album hand cleaned with Tergikleen (used by the Library of Congress), Kimtech Wipes (Low Lint, Anti Static), Distilled Water and Brushed with an Anti-Static Brush. Please see all pics for condition.
