Description
THE TORNADOS on UK Columbia DB7687 **STINGRAY c/w AQUA MARINA**
A white label Demo issue with the release date of 10.9.65 shown on both labels.
Interestingly on the dead wax run-offs, matrix numbers have been scratched through at the factory and new ones machine stamped beneath which I guess was all part of the production process (they are 7XCA 28015-1 and 7XCA 28016-1 respectively).
And of course is a Joe Meek production (Meeksville Sound as shown on the labels) and published by David Toff.
The record is flat and shiny with clean labels and signs of a few plays at the spindle holes which are looking quite tight.
At the window in room daylight the vinyl looks fine. Under the evil desk lamp I see some light scuffs and hairlines so for visual condition I rate the disc 7 /10. I have no means of play testing 45's but this should be fine. Else you can return it, no problem of course.
Finally, the Columbia sleeve is in strong order with some light age darkening.
