Description
I finally found a couple of boxes of notable LPs I knew I had but couldn’t find…until last week. Here’s an LP from one of those boxes.
In this auction:
· “WILD THING” by THE TROGGS
· This is Fontana MGF – 27556.
· It was released in 1966.
· This is a MONO (monaural) Pressing.
· The Troggs were a notable band in “the British Invasion” of musical groups from the U.K. in the early to mid-1960s.
· This LP is titled after the band’s hit single, “Wild Thing”. The cover also highlights another hit on this LP, “With A Girl Like You”.
· It’s interesting to note that the rear cover lists the 12 tracks on this LP; however, it does NOT indicate which ones are on Side 1 and Side 2. They are listed in order beginning with “Wild Thing”, the first track on Side 1 (per the LP label), followed by the 5 tracks also on Side 1, then “With A Girl Like You”, the first track on Side 2 (per the label), followed by the remaining 5 tracks on that side.
· The COVER is in NEAR MINT MINUS CONDITION. Take a look at the cover images, and you’ll see the beautiful condition of this cover! It is NICE and CLEAN and WITHOUT WEAR!! Just very slight wear on 2 corners and a tiny corner push keep me from grading this LP solidly Near Mint. The WHITE REVERSE side of the cover is PRISTENE, for sure!!!
· The VINYL is NEAR MINT.
· The ORIGINAL FONTANA RECORDS INNER PAPER SLEEVE is also included.
I think you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better copy of this Troggs LP unless it’s a still-sealed copy!!!
