Description

This is a spoken word 6" record where Elvis tells 'The Truth About Me'. I got this in 1957 and it comes in the original envelope that was used to send it to me postmarked 3rd April 57. It was produced by the Weekend Mail. It's actually quite interesting. Elvis says he watches his audience and listens to them and he "knows we're all getting something out of our system but none of us knows what it is. The important thing is we're getting rid of it and no one's getting hurt". I've just played this on my son's Numark record player and it sounds excellent. Slight background noise but no pops, skips, jumps or anything else like that. Probably sounds like it did when I first got it, in fact. I have seen this described as a flexi disc but it isn't; it's a solid record.
