Hailing from the Great White North, Canadian rockers Rush took the world by storm in the early 70s, and have never let up since! The band is amazing, and still all original members, (with the exception of the first album's drummer, John Rutsey. RIP, John. You helped start it all!). Since album no. 2, until this very day, it's been Alex, Geddy, and Neil! Collectively they are Rush, one of the best bands in musical history! (My opinion, of course. But I'm sure a lot would agree!) Rush fans and collectors are fanatical about this music, so up for grabs today is a special bundle of Rush goodies! I'll start with saying this. I wanted to have a listing honoring my best friends, who have a very worthy charity that they give help to, on a regular basis. I'll donate 15% of the winning bid to my bud's favorite charity, (25% if it gets over $100) to the Shriners' Hospitals for Children! This friend has been my life-long best friend, and I equally love his beautiful wife and their very laid-back, smart, and cool son (who I am godfather to)! They have always made me so proud to call them friends, and I hope that this will help the Shriners continue their fantastic work with kids who need it!! (Love you, B.C, M.C, and D.C. Love yall always, no matter what!) Now onto the details... First up is a special 200 gram vinyl version of '2112'! It has never been opened or played, but I've read about the details. They put it on THREE sides of heavy 200 gram vinyl, with the fourth side a hologram! It will be very clear once you put this on a turntable, and that's all that I'm gonna say about that (spoken in my best Forrest Gump imitation! Lol) I'll kick in the REMASTERED disc of this masterpiece, as well! So you can listen to this classic while saving your records. You CAN, of course, play these albums, and they will sound AWESOME! Done? Hahaha....I'm just getting started! In 1980, 'Permanent Waves' came out, there was controversy about the cover, so it was changed. Was it the model, and that glimpse of panties peeking out? Nope. The newspaper at the bottom, and that (incorrect) headline about Dewey defeating Truman! Changed to Dewei as to not offend (the big city newspaper who was offended!), it was ran for a short time, then off completely in all of the rest of the copies. I'm including BOTH, so you can compare (and contrast!) You'll also get still sealed, mint condition copies of their DVDs 'Time Stand Still' and 'R40 Live'! That's TWO really cool discs, one a "rockumentary", with Rush's music, and narrated by superfan Paul Rudd, and the other a live retrospective of the 40th anniversary tour! You'll also get a nice Rush 'Fly by Night' shirt, size XL (but a tad small for XL. More like a Lg.) Shirt has no holes, rips, or stains. Worn once, to the Rush Time Machine show! So that's quite a bit, right? But I'll add ONE more item. A very rare Rush collectible. In 1998, the movie 'Small Soldiers' came out. The soundtrack featured many great 80s songs, doubled with a modern (hip-hop) artist, for a completely different take on that song! Here is the ULTRA rare, never on sale to the public, CD single of that collaboration! It was a promotional copy, and came with three tracks. There's a techo-like mix of the Cult's "Love Removal Machine", and TWO mixes of "Tom Sawyer", the "Alternative/Punchit and Scratchit Mix", as well as the "Rock/Slamfist Mix"! It's a side of Rush that you might not have heard before, and you'll get that rare little gem in this bundle! And as an EXTRA extra, I'll toss in a Rush doyble dog tag, AND a Rush guitar pick pendant!
