Description
This is a very rare original 1978 copy of ‘Teenage kicks’ by The Undertones - with the white poster sleeve; the version with no name printed on the inside, with a solid centre 7” with ‘Undertones’ printed on the label. Graded a conservative EX as an online sale but seen given NM for the same condition.
See the pictures for an accurate description, but the sleeve is very very clean, with some minimal top edge wear and some lower spine damage. The inside is almost immaculate save a small dirt mark on the inside edge (see pictures).
The owner removed the vinyl to a separate cardboard inner which has helped preserve both original sleeve and vinyl better than otherwise - the record labels are fairly clean with the odd dirt mark but no writing etc.
The disc is fantastic condition - a couple of tiny surface scrapes from sleeve removal and otherwise spotless.
Tiny bit of crackle in the pre-instrumentation run-in on B - otherwise plays flawlessly.
This is a proper collectors item!
Please bear in mind I take our pictures under very strong light to aid transparency, sleeves/labels are not discoloured unless stated and scratches/marks WILL appear worse than when handled.
This is part of a Punk/New-Wave collection we’re selling on behalf of a client, whom has them from the first time round! Lots of 1st press rarities to follow and in our shop to browse (including Joy division to come!). He’s removed many of the singles to alphabetised inners for storage, and as a result his collection is generally EX or better!
