Description

The Vapors: Magnets Vinyl Album 1981 (LBG30324). Condition is "Used". Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class.

The sleeve is in good condition, where there are scuffs I have tried to highlight them in the photos. The vinyl looks absolutely fine, although sadly I don’t own a record player anymore so can’t run a play check. In the unlikely event that there is an issue I will happily accept returns. The records that I am selling are a mixed bag, some are from my own collection and some are from stock that took my fancy when I owned a record shop.

This record is one that I acquired when I bought out the stock of a local radio station in the early 90s. Typical of vinyl used in radio stations this has the corner cut of to allow easy access and a sticker to allow for easy filing. Depending on how you feel about such things, it either slightly spoils the cover or gives the record a certain heritage.

This is the second and last Vapors album after New Clear Days and is in my opinion a forgotten classic.

The cover was designed by Martin Handford, later famous for his Where's Wally? books. It depicts an assassination scene close up, but from a distance looks like a human eye. On this album the cropped corner means that you can’t see the assassin on the roof at the top right of the album cover, putting away his sniper rifle.

My old vinyl is not bringing any joy to anyone sat in boxes, so I want to sell it all in the hope that it makes other people happy. If you have questions or there are any details that I have missed then please ask.

I will happily combine postage if more than one record takes your fancy.
