The Velvelettes - These Things Will Keep Me Loving You/ Since You've Been Loving Me
(Tamla Motown TMG 580 UK 7" Single 1966)
This is a 1966 UK 7" single 1st pressing. Unfortunately, this is a heavily played copy. However, it is still a serviceable copy. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has black & silver "Tamla Motown" paper labels. These have a 4 pronged centre. The labels have the "Sold in UK..." text. There is an embossed company "KT" tax code around the spindle hole on the A-side label. The record has 1st press TMG 580 A-1 and TMG 580 B-1 matrix numbers. These are machine stamped in the dead wax respectively. It comes with its original Tamla Motown company paper sleeve.
Vinyl: Unfortunately, as mentioned, this is a heavily played copy. There are about 12 light, mild or very mild hairline surface marks across both sides. These measure from 1 cm to 4 cm in length. There is moderate or considerable surface sleeve rubs, or surface rub marks, which can be seen under a strong light. Overall, this single is in Fair+ condition. The Labels are in Very Good condition & show mild to more moderate spindle wear. There is a small circular sticker on the B-side label.
The company plain paper sleeve is in Very Good condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are three very small tears at the die-cut centre area. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this 7" single. The A-side plays Good+ to Very Good overall. There is some mild, very mild or more moderate crackle in the background to a varying degree. This doesn't overpower the music. The music still shines through. It is obviously more noticeable in the quieter places. The B-side plays Good to Good+ overall. There are no jumps or skips on either side.
