Description
The Velvet Underground & Nico 1968 3rd Cover Gatefold Stereo Original Vinyl LP. This LP is clean! Looks and plays like brand-new. Vinyl (EX) - LP has been dusted, wet-cleaned using the Spin-Clean system, and play-graded. When viewed under strong light there is only one visible scratch on Side II Track 4, but it is superficial and does not affect play. Plays through without skipping and with nearly no surface noise. Side One runout: V6-5008 SIDE 1 MGS-558 REV. R (MGM Block S) - All etched except R and MGM Block S, which are stamped. Capital R likely represents pressed at Rockaway Pressing Plant. Someone's last name has been written under the Verve Records logo as shown in photos. No spindle wear. Side Two runout: V6-5008 SIDE 2 MGS-559-RE-1 (MGM Block S) - All etched except MGM Block S, which is stamped. There are two small indecipherable characters between the Block S and the RE-1. No spindle wear. Cover - (VG) Cover is in very good shape. Missing the top portion of the banana as seen in the photos, and a few small creases on the rest of the sticker as shown. Gatefold cover has no major splits, creases, cutouts, writing, or tape. There is the beginning of a seam split on the top left-hand corner of the back cover, less than 1/2" long. All other seams are completely intact. Front cover has some minor ring wear. Ring wear is more pronounced on the back cover and there is a little staining on the back as well. See photos. Original inner sleeve is not present, so generic white sleeve will be replaced with a MoFi Original Master sleeve. Cover, inner sleeve, and LP will be shipped in a protective plastic sleeve. The LP will be shipped in the MoFi sleeve separate from the cover to prevent splitting during shipment.
