Description

For auction is an incredibly rare original 1st U.K. mono issue of The Velvet Underground & Nico. One of the most iconic and influential albums in Rock history.

Rare to find and rarer in playable condition.

Original sleeve - first U.K. issue did not have the infamous Banana sleeve - in VG+ condition. Minor edge wear and discolouration but no tears or writing.

Record labels in excellent condition.

Very early 1R/1G stampers.

Side 1. Visually VG + as has minor scuffs and hairlines but no deep feelable marks or scratches. Plays as VG+ with light crackles noticeable in quiet passages.

Side 2. Visually a VG, as has noticeable mark on track Heroin. See photo. Remarkably this only causes some occasional crackles, but no clicks skips or jumps. Rest of side least VG+.

This is a chance to own, play and enjoy a piece of history.
