Description
THE VELVET UNDERGROUND - WHITE LIGHT / WHITE HEAT (US VERVE, V6 5046, 1968)
Here we have a lovely first pressing in the rare black 'skull' sleeve. What makes this more desirable is the fact that it is a VERY early example as it has the Andy Warhol credit on the back (3rd pic), this was removed from later copies. The sleeve is also a mono sleeve, the mono catalogue on the front has been blanked out by a permanent marker. You can see this under a light. This is a definite original. This is so rare now, especially in this condition! Don't miss out!
Vinyl is in VG+ condition : has a few light marks and plays with some crackle, not bad overall
Sleeve is in VG condition : would grade better but the top and bottom seams are split, top is about 3/4 and bottom about 1/4, there is hardly any wear and the spine looks great, still intact and readable. The back has some light wear and a small brown circular stain just to the left of Sterling's head (2nd pic), could be a lot worse
